I get what he means.
Like its been said, it comes down to technology developments and how drastic they are but this century the world/culture doesn't seem that different through time. Especially since 2010.
Like if you look at a pic from 1993 and 1983 everything looks insanely different, technology, fashion, etc.
If you look at a pic from 2013 and 2023 you'll notice bare minimal changes. We still using the same phones/computers/cars/etc that just re-debut with a very slight change each year. Same clothes for the most part, same sneakers, etc, etc.
This also applies with music I feel like. In 1993 when you had like Snoop Dogg & Ice Cube and their type of Hip-Hop and in 2003 when you had 50 Cent & Nelly that seemed lightyears apart in landscape.
Hell, even 5-6 years back then was a MASSIVE change in Hip-Hop landscape. Going from 2Pac/Biggie in 97, to Nelly/Eminem in 03. Like the style, sound, music, etc all changed overnight completely.
I don't think 2013 Hip-Hop seems nearly as far different and foreign to 2023 Hip-Hop in sound, faces, styles, etc. And certainly there doesn't really feel like any change at all from 5-6 years ago.
use a calculator and you will find out why
If you Google what calculator he’s using you’ll find out why
Why does it feel like KTT2 was launched just a couple months ago, while KTT1 felt like an eternity ago?

Exactly
It’s scary to think about what happens after this in terms of cultural shifts in art
wait until you find out who 2013’s uncle is

This feels sensible
We were using radically different technology in just 2003 compared to 2013
I mean we already had social media in 2013. I’m just curious about how crazy s*** is gonna be in 2033.
In the year 2003, we were still using a significant amount of a***og technology to store data. By 2013 that was nonexistent. The rapid development of technology from 2003-2013 is exponentially larger and more noticeable than 2013-2023. The technology used in 2013 are still basically used today that's why it doesn't feel that "much different".
What does this mean tho
How does one store data via a***og technology
What is a***og

Solid point. Fetty wap could come out today and no one would think it sounds outdated. But that was 8 years ago
