And yet the artist fumbles their career by making some mid.
A few artist come to mind when thinking about this.
Most of Chicago’s new non-Drill wave
They were putting the best music out from 2012-2016

Thr album is good but its not top tier level, im practically a maxo stan.
I gotta be honest and admit i aint listen to it in a long time so i forgot bout some of the bangers it has. Maybe my standard is higher cause i want him to be rated.
Someone is gonna think I’m trolling but honestly to me that’s Drake.
He is a juggernaut the likes we’ll likely not see again.
But he could’ve been so much more. He could’ve been cemented alongside Michael Jackson if he actually took even a sliver of a risk with his music. He has a collection of great songs but his albums for the most part are always mid.
When I first heard him on so far gone I truly thought he was the one to replace Kanye as the goat hip hop artist of all time.
Sadly he didn’t live up to those expectations and while still a top 10 hip hop act of all time its far from where he should have actually been.
