I'm stuck in this cycle that's contributing to my unhappiness, like every morning i'll play red dead online or pokemon untill i have to bus to school, then say i'll stay after my lectures and study but i end up bussing home and procrastinate my work, and say i'll do something different tomorrow, and repeat. I've been trying to break out this cycle been going to the gym at school, and whenever i'm writing an essay or drawing i feel way better but I always return to this cycle, and won't draw for a week or 2.

Look into meditating. Start slow. Its useful to help you become more aware of the cycle and help you break it.

You need more people to hold you accountable.

For example try to get a gym buddy that way you get someone to hit you up about going and if you don't go ask you why didn't you go.

You need to start that way.

But this a willpower issue if you look into it IMO.

tell them to put a password on it and to not tell you under ANY circumstance. or after a certain hour and they switch it up every day, if that means you'll actually be as productive as you want.

I found this hard since i'm not really open with people irl, but a classmate asked me to study with for a class, and i don't wanna let others down, so hopefully that might help

Feel the impulse to play the video game, and do something different instead.

    • As soon as you hear yourself say "I'll do it later" you gotta do it. No exceptions.
    • pretend like every day is january 1st and you gotta keep up with your new years resolutions.
    • Set some standards for yourself. And grade your day. Anything below your standard should result in some mental feedback for the next day to do better.

Might sound stupid but these things work for me and I've got ADD.

Also, this is an assumption, but you're living like this probably because you feel like you'll have tomorrow to try and do better. But the thing is that tomorrows aren't guaranteed.

I had a strange thing happen to me a year ago where my veins started swelling up. Doctors didn't know wtf it was because my blood tests came back normal. If anything can wake you the f*** up it's some random mystery condition/disease/injury, and that can happen to anyone at any time. For me it went away completely after a month, but ever since I don't take my time for granted. So you gotta make sure that with the time you're given you use it in a way you can say you don't regret.

Question why you want to do better in the first place. Good grades? But why?
