Just finished playing 1-4 through last night. I definitely understand why it is such a popular franchise. There was some things I loved and some things I hated about the series for sure though.

To switch things up I'll rank every Naughty Dog game that I have played.

All good games overall except Uncharted 1 lol

4 : Best shooting mechanics by far, and the combat sections were so damn fun. Not to mention, maybe the best graphics I’ve ever seen

2 : Best story, such a huge leap from 1 in quality

3 : The first UC game I played, had my favorite set pieces in the desert and the plane mission is one of the coolest scenes I’ve ever seen regardless of medium

1 : Pretty good, hasn’t aged all that well unfortunately

Its the only one i havent played so far, hoping to do so soon tho

Yeah it was cool tbh. It’s not overwhelming open-world. There’s still a lot of linearity. The final action set piece/mission is so FIRE

Played the Uncharted 1 Remaster last year again - Still a great Game imo. But yeah, the other ones did aged a lot better... Did the Platinum Trophy for the 3rd Time anyway.

Do I have to had played the other 3 uncharted to understand the story of 4? Kinda wanna cop

There's a few references you won't understand, mostly when it comes to the relationships of certain characters but it doesn't take away from the overall enjoyment. 4 was my first Uncharted.

with the nathan drake collection 1-3 get instantly more bearable than the originals

that said i dont think any of them stand equally with 4, that's in a lane of its own, fantastic experience

Uncharted 4 aged like wine

FInished 1 and 2 with 2 being my fave. Playing through 3 rn and its such a letdown from 2. Boring, dragged out tutorials that weren't in the previous games and just basic af platforming and no action for the first 5 chapters.

Hope you haven't started yet. The other guy is kinda right but trust me UC4 is gonna be so much better if you play the other 3 games. It has a lot of throwbacks, references and ofc character arcs that are expanded on from previous entries. It's a must imo to play at least 2 & 3. But i'd say play 1 too on easy mode so u can blast through the story.

Trust me on this one, if youve been with Nate & the rest throughout 1-3, the fourth is gonna have SO much payoff cause youve grown to love the characters and what they've been through
