She was the first female artist to ever have a UK #1 they'd written themselves. That proves unmatched pop songwriting more than 1989.

I found the melodies on 1989 much stronger than the melodies on any of her other albums, except maybe the folklore deepcuts like mirrorball.

It went beyond catchy, it's inexplicable. that was pop mastery. so, here I wasnt talking about lyrics, and I know she sacriiced that aspect for the sake of pop clichees.

but the melodies of Stay, How u Get The Girl, Style, New Romantics are as good as the biggest classics of Madonna, MJ and such
