It's just lazy to me. Plus LIR2 and VSTW2 didn't even sound like spiritual succesors to their previous titles. Everybody was screaming for old Uzi meanwhile i still enjoy EA, and still think it's his best album by far (not including deluxe)

Also it was such a hype title with all this controversy surrounding it. It was a tough ride but it really all paid off. It's still not his peak though i'm 100% sure

Also EA era had the best leaks ever in Uzi's career

I think the closest we will ever get to that is if the rest of the Late 2016-early 2017 Snippets end up leaking

Idk man saying the best music he came out with was EA and those leaks is a huge stretch, I prefer the the 2015 leaks and 2015-2017 sound infinitely more. The first round of EA leaks were great but the second round was not up to par. My issue is that Uzi doesn’t pick the best WoD beats and EA is his weakest produced project for that reason. I hope he starts working with other producers again (which it seems like he is based off the new snippets). I am tired of the sequels tho, the only reason I assumed he was doing it was just cause he said he wanted 2020 to be 2016 part 2 so he was just gonna make sequels to those projects.

Well i wasn't talking overall, cause Uzi music leaks so often that there's such a big pool of music to choose from (recorded in different eras also), so i can't really group them together and say they were better overall.

I am 100% positive tho that the best leaks of Uzi's discog come from the EA era. Especially Of Course & 1600. I don't think that's a stretch. Hell, a lot of Uzi fans even think Of Course is his best song period.

Uzi makes great music mostly, but i just prefer EA over LIR2 which was a huge letdown for me as a fan. You know me Bill, u know i f***s with the GOAT. We can all have our own favorite Uzi style right? I don't really feel like anybodys opinion is neccesarily wrong cus Uzi rarely missess

It just comes down to what style u prefer

I think some of the best Uzi leaks came from 2018 but overall I think that the EA era leaks (stuff recorded late 2017 and on) were very hit or miss (that last group of WOD leaks was clearly all leftovers, they leaked the best stuff first). I'm with you I prefer EA to LIR2 (but I had super high expectations for LIR2 and went in with none for EA). We for sure can agree to disagree, if anything I'm happy Uzi is trying new things and evolving his sound. My only real complaint besides the beat selection sometimes in the new music is his tendency to fall back on the same 4 flows now (especially on features). I think the older music was more diverse, and now it sounds a little more samey than I'd like. I'm always interested tho, I don't think the quality has dipped a lot (like a lot of the surface level fans have), and I'm excited for the next one.

Vstw 2 was very incoherent and what made it extra worse is the fact it came right after EA which was amazing front to back

Features were mostly unneccesary and the mixing is god damn awful on a lot of tracks

I mean the whole point was to drop a bunch of songs fans wanted and songs that didn't make EA that Uzi wanted to drop, its basically a mixtape after the album. Mixing does suck but also they only had a week to mix the songs (shit Uzi was still adding to some of them last minute) so I don't see it as the worst thing or even a real negative (we would have never got them or got them in that state so I choose to look at it that way)

Edit: Also EA was sequenced poorly so idk man I know its your fav but I think for the amount of time Uzi had, slapping it together last minute, rearranging songs and completely scrapping the whole theme with the skits and s*** was not the best idea long term).

EA sequenced perfectly IMO, every 6 tracks the vibe changes drastically and it’s still interesting

  • Jun 12, 2020

Also it’s just an album title... LUVVTW2 doesn’t really sound like the first one at all.

That’s why it’s bad, I’m tired of each sound by the end and don’t wanna replay the album. When I throw it on shuffle I can listen for hours

If you tryna play it on shuffle for hours then why does the sequencing matter?

Cause it stays fresh when the sound changes every couple minutes rather than getting 20 min chunks of only one sound

Nah i feel you most def. I'm happy we got some of the songs but vstw2 is just not up there for me with his best projects even though some of my fav Uzi songs of the moment are on there.

Also it might have one of Uzi's most underrated songs in I Can Show You, that b**** go super hard
