interstellarflyin2I love love craft cosmic horror type s*** but super casual gamer play most story games in normal mode idk I’d be able to conquer this and horror seems way more amplified gaming than in movies too
I usually play games on EASY mode!!!
Never been good at games
Played this on a whim and it’s tough but I beat every boss in it. There’s enough resources online to read/watch the experiences of millions of other people who pushed through any of the difficult parts
It’s intimating and scary but that’s really part of the fun. It’s cheap asf atm so definitely give it a try

So fam i'm stuck rn at Martyr Logarius.. i know he's optional but i'm already level 63 with Saw Cleaver +9 and he's still beating my f***ing ass
Should i come back later?
I'm thinking of going to the Nightmare Frontier and trying Amygdala first
The last few bosses all have been big and slow (Rom, One Reborn, Celestial Emissary) so i guess i gotta get used again to those faster bosses

He was one of the most difficult ones for me too. Keep going and watch as many videos of people beating him as u can.
It took me a whole night + the next evening and at that point, I’d beat them all in one sitting (very long sittings) so it definitely kicks ur ass into another gear

Idk why he’s saying shoot it I just ran up on it and smashed it quick as possible. But yeah Marty a B****. He’s got no weakness the best thing you can do is just try to parry his ass or stagger him.

No he's right, if that's the attack we talking about then yeah, you can shoot that sword as well. Running up to it seems more risky to me
I've only tried 2 times but he absolutely wrecked my s*** so i'll just try again tomorrow. I'll eventually take him down, that's just what hunters do
From the moment i beat the Blood Starved Beast i knew i was capable of killing every other boss in the base game as well
I'm spooked af for the DLC though, not even want to think about Ludwig or Kos

BSB usually a cakewalk for me but if that’s how you feel
get it champ Should try making your way through the chalice dungeons too

I've already did the first 2 depths of the first chalice (that you get after beating BSB)
I've heard they don't scale with new game plus and are significantly harder than the base game so ig i'll just do most of the dungeons after i beat the base+dlc
How much further should i go for now on my NG?

Yeah, they don’t scale with NG+ but you can do them whenever. If you’re feeling stuck on Marty you can try going further within the dungeons, and then if you feel stuck on a dungeon just go back to the base game.
Dungeons go deep so you got a ways to go before they get really tough for ya. I think you need to beat amygdala in the nightmare tho to get further.

gaboattention to detail is crazy too -
theres statues all over yharnam of people kneeling towards big buildings like the healing church
when u kill rom, the statues are revealed to be of beast people, and they are actually kneeling towards the amygdalas

gonna try this today Logarius fights like a hunter and the other two bosses that did so far (Gascoigne & Shadows Of Yharnam) i locked on to with succes so i assumed it would be the same for him

Honestly, I think it’s best to learn to play these games without lock on in generalS you get better control when aiming when you attack. I use lock on to center my camera.
Edit: also I think the enemies themselves abuse you more if you use the lock on.
