His new album sounded like a fusion of 2000s NY rap mixed with modern production. If he was alive and dropped this album, I think he would've shifted the sound in rap and make rappers experiment towards some sort of 2000s rap sound.
Modern day 50 cent.

Stop it.
How?
His voice reminds me of 50. And he was clearly influenced by 50 a lot. He had the raw gangster tracks but also the 21 questions type of records

Feel like he’s a 50 and max b hybrid
Stop it.
This is a pretty solid take imo
Changed the industry?
He had a great voice, and some potential, but cmon.
I think Peep had/has more influence, even being dead.
Pop would have done nothing of the sorts, alive or dead.
No disrespect. Good rapper, just not industry changing.

Makes me sad man. Could you have imagined him and Mac too in a few years where they’d be musically

I see what your saying but Pop was making waves across different states when he got that Trav co-sign and he carried NY Drill on his back, making it more mainstream.
Emo rap as of today has zero impact in rap rn and 2 of the major emo rappers died last decade. (RIP)
His new album proved that he would've ran s***.
