Try Castlevania gba collection on switch and of course Symphony of the night on playstation

Hollow Knight is one of the best games in the genre you’re asking about so there’s no reason for you to be weird and not play it

Play Hollow Knight then play every Fromsoft game

I’d also reccomend the Ori series

im playing through symphony of the night rn and having a blast with it, can definitely recommend. for my money though, aria of sorrow is the igavania to play. ori series is also fantastic
