Only way you will get one. However once you have those on, it’s only a matter of time until you get one. If you are actively trying you can get one easily after a couple of drops

join a discord with alerts and you will get one without even trying

i came up short a few times but just join a discord chat and wait until they start dropping.

the discord i was in the mods gave some good tips on when to spam click and just what to expect in general when they are available. target for example the website starts bugging out because everyone is trying to click the same thing. its important you have certain things setup and ready to go when they pop up, because the consoles pop up for a minute or two and then they are out of stock again

I follow Matt Swider on Twitter, copped a Twitter for that sole purpose. So far I’ve only took one L on that recent Playstation Direct, but now I know next time you should have multiple browsers open both on your phone and computer

Yeah its gonna be hell for awhile. Even if you dont factor in the chip shortage now its holiday season. Still nothing you NEED on a Ps5 if you have a functional 4.
Getting a series X MIGHT be easier but idk about that now.

I got my systems through Wario64. Grabbed a series X with little trouble last December. Ps5 cop was a disaster. I BARELY got one. But I got lucky and wasn't trying on drops nearly as hard as I was in the start.

It’s still consistently sold out most places, you just have to catch the shipments at the right time. If you have notifications on for stock update accounts on Twitter, you can make it much easier on yourself though.

If it’s any consolation though, you’re not missing out on any must play next gen titles for now anyway

Definitely, I got mine earlier this year thx to alerts. But as others said, there are still not too many PS5 games out anyway so you're not missing too much. Like most you'll prolly be playing your PS4 games anyway outside of like Returnal, Deathloop or any of the PS5 upgraded games like Ghost of Tsushima
