Jul 31, 2021·editedI’m currently halfway through the first season and it’s great, but I feel kinda deflated now because i’ve heard the second season is terrible. However, it also seems like a lot of people trashing on it are manga readers who’s favorite parts got left out. If I’m not a manga reader, is it worth my time? Please don’t post any spoilers for the first or second season
Jul 31, 2021·1 replyI didn't watch the 2nd season but I read a bit about it. My understanding is that people didn't like the ending of manga, so they tried to fix it in the anime. The way they "fixed" the ending was by skipping a whole bunch of chapters so they could fill that space with anime original stuff. The chapters that were skipped were full of things people actually liked and the stuff that replaced it was considered rushed and forced. Some people even said the anime ending is worse than the manga ending.
If you really want to see the conclusion I'd say just read the manga, even if it has a bad ending. You'd at least get to see the good parts that were skipped in the anime. Or you could just appreciate the first season for what it is and ignore everything else lol.

The manga was good for like 3 arcs which is a good chunk of it. It’s worth reading. Anime got bad immediately after first season. I think those first 3 arcs are worth reading. They really dropped the ball with the anime. They could have adapted the first 3 arcs accurately and then fixed the ending.

Aug 1, 2021The people that are saying it's notoriously bad are usually the people that read the manga. I would say read and or watch the manga and judge for yourself. If you don't like the second season for whatever reason you can just stop watching

Just watch season one and you'll be good
