Let's say Jay/Nas/whoever still has technical ability and something to say late into their life. Would you listen to a 70 year old Nas?
Itâs all relative
Depends on their topic and sound.
Duh
Of course. I listen to later albums from Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, etc. Psychedelic Pill is one of my favorite Neil Young albums.
id listen to old man rap for sure
That last Phonte record was about back pain and not being able to piss like he used to and it was good lol
Nah, the disrespect towards the architects of rap because of their age has always been weird to me
Generally dont gaf about what they have to say about young nigga music but if someone been rapping before rap was even rap who are we to tell them to stop because theyâre old
Let then do their thing in the corner or sumn
Maybe there used to be but albums like Life Is Good, 4:44, King's Disease showed rappers how to age gracefully and extended a rapper's career by like 2 decades.
And they might do it again in their 60's and 70's, who knows. The Godfather wasn't a 20 something year old.
good music is good music
good music is good music
og avi
Nah rappers are gracefully aging now ( )
Rap still a young genre but it looks like theres gonna be room and interest for legacy acts like other genres
good music is good music
40+ is too old for overtly h**** and/or shock lyrics
If it's hot it's hot idc how old/young you are
40+ is too old for overtly h**** and/or shock lyrics
Nicki will be 40 soon
Nicki will be 40 soon
somebody made that point during the new body fiasco, that ye won't put p**** lyrics from a woman in her late 30's on an album dedicated to his mom, and her fans threw a massive fit. subject diversity matters just as much as technical skill
Hov is 50 and arguably at his lyrical peak
I donât see why he couldnât be just as good or even better in 10 or 20 years
