this particular laptop is going to be used for school, work
and hdmi to my TV to play games. I have built my own PC so i know its already overkill

    budget isnt an issue either

You could probably save a lot on the laptop and just get a laptop thats better on battery life and just link your PC to your TV or you can get this thing called the shadow which lets you stream a gaming PC to any device you have and theres basically no latency either which when I first used it I was surprised by that and you don't even need a good internet connection for it. You also get gigabit internet through it so your actual internet connection doesn’t really matter with it. Deadass was playing AAA games on my phone on max settings with on data definitely recommend. You could save a lot with the laptop tbh and get something a lot cheaper and since its for school it’s probably a better option to save as much battery life that you can. What type of ports do you usually use? I’d recommend a MacBook Air or 13 inch pro but it’s usb C only but for Windows the Dell XPS 13 or the Surface book is a good choice or if you dont really need too many desktop programs id say go with a chromebook if you’re down for using googles services like google docs which is free anyway

    Thanks for suggestion

I peeped the shadow thing seems cool but look like it's not on Canadian app store

It's also running a gtx 1080 with 12 gb ram?? Pretty underwhelming for my preference at least

I already have a Google Stadia sub lol I have no need for streaming service and Stadia s***s as it is

Otherwise I do like the Dell xps 13 but its lacking in the graphics card

I'd go for it if I didnt plan on gaming on it

Battery life nbd for me cause I bring my charger to class anyways lol I sit by a wall outlet

and I own a surface pro for school which is really useful just not powerful enough to play games and can't really take it apart to upgrade ram/ssd

Macbooks simply out of the question lol only thing I'd find it useful for is iMessage without checking my iPhone

  • laptop hard

i hate that the keyboard layout and everything is crammed in the bottom and s*** but it's cool

    peep same company ROG Strix

Trust me stadia is way different from shadow plus you get a whole entire PC that you can do anything with so you can just download steam and install all the games that you already have. And yeah they don’t have it in canada yet so there wouldn’t be a point of getting it right now tbh. You ever thought about just getting an e-gpu?

first time i heard of e-gpu

although seems like it kind of defeats the purpose of laptop portability

  • It's definitely the sleekest gaming laptop I've ever seen.

Yeah but if you’re using the laptop for school and gaming at the same time it’s gonna destroy your battery life. An e-gpu is a good thing to have if you usually just game in one place
