my pops always brings it up when we're discussing movies i'm aware it flopped at the box office and critics weren't impressed, but it made it's money back on the home video market and has since earned a cult following since it's release.

i'm led to believe it's like mad max on water which to me sounds like a pretty fun concept, so do y'all think it's worth a watch and do you rate waterworld?

  • Visually and conceptually it's entertaining, and to me, it was a movie you love more for it's setting and ideas than anything else. The performances were kinda whatever, but you do get to see a young Jack Black early on in his career so there's that.

Waterworld was one of those movies I'd always hear/see referenced so I decided to just watch it finally and I don't think it's as bad as critics made it out to be back then. But it's definitely a movie that had the potential to be dope but it seems like much of the cast and crew kinda gave up during the production.
