Too much voice narration
Heavy handed stylization (like when a film shows a flashback and the director decides to add that awful hazy/glow type effect to let you know it’s a flashback)
On the nose dialogue

idk what this cliche is called but when the MC gets in a argument or misunderstanding with a friend they act like they'll never be friends again then get back together 10 min later to defeat the big bad.
Bad guy giving a speech/saying something just as he’s about to win so that the other characters have enough time to stop him

This to. It's a big reason why i find the final fight in return of the jedi corny. Luke is about to kill vader and then this nigga palpatine just starts evil cackling and telling luke to kill him to join the dark side. Like bro was about to do it till you started opening your mouth

Lol that haze s*** got me dying cause every early CW/WB show and NCIS felt like it was filmed in a flashback

I hate that one. Oh look its the end of the second act, guess its time for them to break up real quick

The 2nd act fallout lol.
I don't mind if I care about the characters
Stereotypical middle eastern villain
I feel like this goes for all Asian characters. They're either geeky as f***, martial arts expert, scientist, shady business person or some combo
The grizzled veteran who's retired and turns down the job knowing damn well he's gone get in on the action

Neck snaps that kill people. The one in You Were Never Really Here makes me groan every time. It's such an incredible movie otherwise. Leave that s*** in silly Liam Neeson vehicles, not heavy character studies.
We talked about this on ktt1 but when a fight ends because the land mass split or something fell in the way.
