James Cameron is the sequel GOAT. Avatar 2 won’t be restrained by needing to introduce a crazy world in a palatable way. It’s gonna be even more expansive with better technology than before
Like I said before, I won’t be surprised if this is one of the greatest blockbuster sequels of all time

S*** is criminal
They’ll probably release one in the next year. I read the VFX were rendered in 2K so they’d either have to redo everything or do a simple upscale sadly
Biggest take away from this pod is @1:01:05 mark where he breakdown what they are trying to capture with the sequels
“A dreamlike sense of a yearning, a yearning to be there(pandora) experiencing that thing, a place that was safe and where u wanted to be... a sensory thing that communicates on a deep level... a dreaming with your eyes open aspirational feeling.”

Avatar 2 gonna bring about world peace
Cameron sat in an editing suite with a picture of nature on the screen, being told that Israel and Palestine might patch things up because they realised they’ve both seen Avatar.

If you don't love Avatar you didn't see it in IMAX 3D, there's just no other justification.
People I know who barely pay attention to movies went and saw it multiple times. It was a beautiful thing.

Honestly I have never seen and probably will never again see such a huge love for a movie among everyone I knew irl
Like people in my HS rarely talked about movies, let alone just loudly declaring their love for a movie and I knew people who had seen the movie 5-6 times in theaters and would literally tell the entire class how much they loved it and wanted to see it again
Even The Dark Knight wasn’t getting talked about like this at that time
