    Michelin star & zagat rated places are both really overrated. they tend to be "technically" impressive but they're over-expensive and not amazing unless you primarily place emphasis on expensive ingredients or preparations (with a few exceptions). the best places in my experience tend to be either completely unknown (in terms of this type of publicity) or be known locally/in food website editorials, but not by these types of lists

    Agreed. With Michelin star restaurants you’re paying for the service, the atmosphere and the art just as much if not more than the meal
