I don't care how many people abuse social assistance programs as long as the people who truly need them get them. You could have the majority of ppl on foodstamps and rental assistance be lying and freeloading and as long as people who truly need them get them I don't care.

Thing is the reality is that most people don't abuse the system. Its as low as 2-3% in the US. AND they cost almost nothing compared to other things our tax money is spent on.

I'm just saying I don't get outraged over the potential or reality of abuse of the systems. The abuse rate could be ten fold higher and I'd be like w/e.

While I agree that people who need social assistance should get it, the abuse of it negates the benefits and the abuse from people who don’t truly need them take away from those who do

For example, the cost of social assistance can cause the vetting process to become more strict, or the allotted funds to be dispersed too thin, And people who truly need it may not get as much as they require. It could also potentially cause a tax raise on the working class.

This can make it so the working class starts to take home even less money, bringing them even closer to the poverty line

I think that People who are found to abuse social assistance should be fined and if they are unable to make payments, their wages should be garnished (an acceptable amount) until the fine is paid off.

It’s harmful to not care if people are abusing social assistance as it will inevitably harm everyone in the country on one way or another

Depends on your definition. I’m not a Marxist, communist, or socialist. Working class to me are people who are in the 12% tax bracket

I didn’t say f*** the poor, I said my definition of the working class are in the 12% tax bracket, meaning they make about 10k-40k (roughly if you file as single. the $ amount raises if you have a family)

I would hardly call people who make 40k poor

People who make 10k and file single are definitely close to poverty, but if they don’t have a family they are most likely high school kids or college kids with some form of support

The poverty like runs directly through the 12% tax bracket. So I would say my estimation that the working class is the poverty line remains correct. Especially considering workers cages have sizen less than 10% since the 70's while executive wages have risen by hundreds of percent. 10% doesn't even meet inflation even. Working class getting squeezed more and more every day.

Video games should be more thought provoking and challenging (not harder but effort)

There are plenty of video games that fit into that demographic

There needs to be easy, less challenging and mindless video games in the market. For example, some people use those types of games to unwind after a rough day at work. They don’t want to be challenged, they want to de stress.

Kids can also make use of easy video games. Easy games can help develop their skills by allowing them to actually feel rewarded for their efforts as opposed to becoming frustrated because the games are too far above their skill level
