Day 1: 36 Shines
Day 2: 39 New Shines
Day 3: 18 New Shrines

Not sure if I played less day 3 or if progress just went slower. Might be a mix of both as it took me an hour to get the 100 coins in Pinta Village without dying.

Blue Coins:
Delfino Plaza- 15/20
Bianco Hills- 29/30
Ricco Harbor- 29/30
Gelato Beach- 28/30 (have to go back and get Yoshi coins)
Pinna Park- 30/30
Sirena Beach- 1/30 (only level I haven’t played through yet)
Noki Bay- 18/30 (have to go back)
Pianta Village- 30/30

Saved Sirena Beach for last because it’s the hardest world in my opinion. Hopefully it doesn’t take me too long to beat it. Then it’s just finishing up Delfino stars and completing the final boss.

Overall I haven’t had trouble with Sunshine as expected, Sand Bird and Pianta Village 100 coins have been the only levels to give me trouble so far. I truely think Mario 64 is the harder game. One mistake in Mario 64 can be brutally punishing and lead to death whereas mistakes in Sunshine usually don’t matter unless on platforming levels.

I’m playing 64 in handheld and gonna eventually play Sunshine in handheld as well

But for Galaxy, I’m gonna play on the tv. Deserves special treatment tbh

Sunshine looks absolutely perfect in handheld mode. Something about that pixel density of the handheld screen works so well for game-cube era graphics. Makes it feel like a new game practically.

just started Sunshine after deciding to just end my 64 run at 105 stars and go back to finish the last 15 which are all the 100 coin stars

sunshine is HITTING. always wanted to play it since a child and only got little slivers so having a full experience is going to be beautiful man

Day 4 of Sunshine, lets get it

Got 100 coins in Noki Bay so now for the world I left for last, the hardest world IMO- Sirena Beach.

Then clean up blue coins in levels, do all leftover Delfino stars except for Pinball, beat Balloon level, beat final level, and then finally torture myself until I beat Pinball.

So close to the end

All 30 blue coins in Noki Bay which is arguably the hardest blue coin world

Manta storm can gtfo, went atop the tree to get coins for health and there were manta rays on top the tree so I lost more health instead of got the coins

After that I needed more water and I had one health left and landed safely in water with no visual of Mantas in the water but I hit the water and got electrocuted immediately even though the water looked 100% clean

I’m good at Sunshine but Sirena Beach can be a punk.

Anyway, I did 100 coins in Noki Bay and did some blue coin farming. Getting off for now to play games with friends but I might play after my friends get offline. 95 shines atm

I believe the 3rd one missing is one of the underground ones which is hard to remember which I’ve gotten and if I’ve gotten all the underground ones.

Edit: just checked the entire underground system and nothing so I must have gotten all of those and am missing something else.

Update: Found it and wasted a lot of time going through the sewers smh

Found the 30th coin that I missed in both Bianco and Ricco

Got 30 blue coins in all worlds except Sirena because I haven’t done Sirena yet
