It’s out
How often they update their library?
Quite a few films high up on their top 1000 films left recently

no idea so far kinda sucks there's no timer for the library films. Kind of predictably I actually ended up watching less Mubi recently because it felt less urgent
someone on Reddit made a overview site about what's on Mubi worldwide btw
its a fantastic thing to use if you have a VPN

Never used this app before. Is it basically like criterion?

pretty much. they target the same demographic, but mubi mostly has a rotating selection of films and a v small amount of constant ones, whereas criterion has their own editions which you can watch whenever as well as monthly curated programs that are available for 30-90 days.
mubi's curation is better than criterions imo.

well not as big, but also a very well-curated selection of films. Since they started producing more films as well - last year Bacurau, Ema, new Werner Herzog, as well as shorts by Lanthimos and Guadagnino some of that lands on their streaming early too, the shorts are exclusives even.
Highly recommended for sure. Since I can't get Criterion Channel in my country it's def my fav streaming service by far.
MUBI Notebook also got some very quality write-ups
