Nas first big party record and the most divisive in his catalogue
Divisive? Underrated?
This s*** always get everyone dancing when it come in a room of black ppl
Naw, this song was bad, still is bad.
This was Nas going outside of himself, trying to make songs that did not fit his style, and the finished product was just mad awkward. One thing I will give Jay-Z over Nas is that Jay can make these club type joints, Nas simply cannot.
"Nastradamus" in general was a terrible album by Nas standards. Fortunately, he made up for it on his next album "Stillmatic".
Hell nah this and ouchie wallow were pure cheeks
Hate me now and made you look are the ones no diddy
peak background music at the function but only cause of the beat, pretty useless aside from that
Its cool but it probably don’t help that Nas rapping style and facial expression/demeanor in the video makes it seem like the label told him he had to do this juxtaposed with the perception we have of Nas as a rapper
Nas club songs can be a whole lot worse
Underrated song

Banger

Nas casually calling for reparations in the hook of a club song about s***is hilarious and another reason why he's the GOAT
Glad it was taken off the album

Back when it dropped, people were calling it the worst song in Nas catalogue. It used to get so much hate on the forums I frequented back then.
