I got the opportunity to catch a special Q & A screening last night with Saul Williams and his Wife both of whom wrote and directed the film and what I saw was honestly indescribable. It’s going to take multiple screenings for me to fully process and comprehend all that this film has to say and I assure you, what it has to say is special and important. Ideas on class, gender, sex, spirituality, and technology, How all these constructs intersect and what role black bodies, specifically on the continent of Africa, play in the dissemination of these technologies. What if the materials used to create the devices we hold dear were actually charged with the energy of the people exploited in order to facilitate its expansion? What if they could reverse engineer this technology and communicate with the outside world? Hack into systems of oppression and exploitation, hack into illusory constructs of what it means to be black, to be human, to be boy, to be girl, hack into themselves and free their minds?
I could go on and on. I’ve never seen anything like it and I’m excited for others to get the chance to see and experience this film. I wasn’t prepared for how it would make me feel, how INCREDIBLE, let me repeat this, INCREDIBLE!!!!!! the soundtrack would be, and how visually beautiful it was for such a small budget film. I got the chance afterwards to meet Saul and have him sign my book and just thank him for sharing his art and work and inspiring me as a young black kid trying to navigate his way through identity. Please go see and support black art!!!
I’m seeing it again this weekend! I can’t stop thinking about it. Super inspiring s***. I’m so glad I was able to blaze beforehand. I was in the theater vibing hard!!! Some of the songs will have you turning up lol

It's at one theater today, at one time, and this will likely be my only chance to see it
