I heard about Bo Burnham before and I watched his first film (pretty good, btw) but he’s not really famous here in France and I never got to watch one of his shows so I didn’t know what to expect... And God, it was such a pleasant surprise. It was funny but also clever and a bit experimental but never pretentious because he doesn’t try to hide his vulnerability. I liked it a lot when he went full meta and I found fascinating the way he portrays his deteriorating mental state.

If anything, this makes me wish he’d make more films.

I recognise a lot of myself in him (except he's way more talented ofc), but that's also why I dislike him.
