Why are people crying about the censorship? Genuine question. Do these people really get this upset about not having the option to marry children???

Censorship is bad. Idc what it is, they shouldn’t censor stuff. Especially when Nintendo and Sony used to love putting on the baby filter for western releases. It’s just unnecessary and changes the original piece of art. Sometimes it straight up removes content and other times it alters it. This isn’t good no matter how you slice it.

I haven’t heard much about censorship for this game outside of supports. Apparently there are a lot of supports where Japanese dialogue leans more towards actual romance while the western dialogue leans more towards friendship. And that goes for characters who are 18+ as well.

Ah ok i see. Had no idea it was a western censorship kinda situation, thought people were complaining about the gaming become less romantic. I understand this view point

Personally idc all that much for romance but it was weird for it to be in the last 3 FE then drop it so I understood why they got mad

Now they’re mad that only Alear has romance lol. These dudes wanna pair up everyone in the game

Game sitting at an 82 on Open Critic, seems the more negative reviews wanted a better story and character depth.

Which I don't really care about the story that much.

The positive reviews emphasized the gameplay being great.

Sounds like it's closer to 3 Houses, which some of the reviewers were disappointed by, but I liked 3H, so that's good for me.

It’s actually impressive that this game somehow manages to have worst character designs than Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Pretty sure its not closer to 3H. The story and social aspect is worse according to reviewers

sounds like less social/fanservice s*** what a f***ing chore that was. The support conversations themselves were good and it's what I like about FE, but i just didnt like the whole tea time, choosing who to eat with etc. thing

About to dive into it and I think I'm taking the guy character, cuz chick kinda obnoxious

fire emblem is very dear to me as it's been my favourite game series since I was 7. I was hating on the concept of bringing in past lords but i played the first chapter and i'm now treating it as a silly/fun experience, it's got a lot of hilarious s*** unintentional or not

Game is really good. Best gameplay since conquest easily. Engage mechanic is fun.

I’m playing on hard/classic cus maddening has fixed growths and I do not fw fixed growths for a first playthrough. I’ll play maddening second playthrough.

Story…yea imma be blunt I do not give a s*** about the story in fire emblem games. Not even in 3H was I blown away or anything so idc. I’m on chapter 9 and so far the story hasn’t been an issue for me.

Characters…I really only care about the designs and usefulness in battle. Not the biggest fan of the designs overall but I’ve got a few standout units already (Louis with Sigurd is a demon, Yunaka has been crazy). I skip 90% of support convos but from what I’ve seen they’re all tropey which is the standard FE experience.

Story is awful i agree, but combat is much better. 3h had better story and was persona-esque. I can understand why ppl drop engage tho lol
