They just inch their forearm farther and farther up people's asses as the years go by

Eventually you'll be paying for the phone, but it won't come with iOS, you gotta buy it off Apple's website starting at 114.99 for varying versions of the OS.

I mean maybe, but power bricks do wear out.

Also, power bricks designed for your phone charge way more efficiently.

Apple is literally cutting costs because they want to, they don't need to.

They might wear out but in my decade of owning iPhones it's never happened to me. Also sure an Apple power brick is going to charge more efficiently than an off-brand was, but I wasn't talking about off-brand. If you have any other iPhone or Apple Watch, you have a 5 watt charger, if you own any iPad, you have a 12 watt charger. It really isn't a bad move to ship it without a brick, they will be saving tons of e-waste. There should be an option to get one though if it's your first iPhone.

they don't give af about e-waste, they were caught slowing down your phone so you have to get a new one, their whole repair business is built around you having to buy a whole new piece when you don't have to.

This is why they try to shut down louis rossman

Yup. Granted, they are like the easiest sealed phone to work on and most of the parts are very easily replaceable.

But it's mostly phone carriers that push people to get new phones.

'Aww sorry your battery is going out, unfortunately we don't do phone repair here in store at Verizon, if you want we can mail it in for you for $250, or we can set you up with a new phone for $100 down today.'

Any little issue your phone has, they're like 'yeah s***s broke as f***, you need a newer version of this model now '

It almost makes me want to get into phone sales cuz it seems so incredibly easy, but at the same time it's borderline scum behavior (if not outright).

I can't, in good conscience, stretch the truth for people to spend money for a God damn conglomerate like f***ing Verizon.

I used to see it all the time when I fixed phones. Old people getting swindled like a mother f***er by their carriers (Even young ppl too). I'd tell them straight up, too. Like, you might wanna go back and talk to them because they literally upsold you unnecessarily. And I tried to help everyone I could. I installed free parts and fixed people's s*** for extra cheap way too much lmao, I'm surprised they never caught on and fired my ass.

NGL, when I had a iPhone, I would cringe if I couldn't use the Apple brick.

S*** charges iPhones like a super quick charger despite only being 1 amp

Tbh, Apple really got that part down.

I didn't say everyone already has a power brick, I said a large majority do. It should be an option.
