what do y'all think of it? weird lil thing huh, i can kinda see how they made Nevermind after this but also cannot at all
classics though blew, about a girl, love buzz, paper cuts, gimme back my alcohol, GIMME BACK MY ALCOHOL GIMME BACK MY ALCOHOL! gimme back my alcohol gimme back my alcohol GIMME BACK MY GIMME BACK MY GIMME BACK MY GIMME BAAAAACK
and s*** like that is why this album is jus crazy. i think a lot of the same frustration is still in music today, it's just expressed in ironic tones like what billie and kinda charli does instead of the forcefulness we hear here
Not my fav, but lots of good songs.
Very "metal" production sound
Also only Nirvana album with s***references?
Always hated “School” and “Love Buzz” but I’m also not the biggest Nirvana fan. “Paper Cuts” and “Negative Creep” are great, though, (and “Big Cheese” even though it’s not technically part of the album).
Hated hearing "School" when I started Middle School cuz it says "No Recess" and that was when we didnt have recess anymore
Probably my least favorite of all of their work, but it’s still good. Incredible to see the foundation laid for what they’d eventually blow up into. Love how raw it is at times.

I think they all have references to sex, they’re just not sexy.
its decent
Love it. Paper Cuts is almost sludge metal. About a Girl and School are obviously classics bit I like every song.
Some of the my faves recorded around then ended up on on Incesticide (Aero Zeppelin) or unreleased (Blandest, If You Must)
this album became my favorite Nirvana album since the other 2 got OD played out growing up and Incesticide just doesnt hit the same as those 3 so I dont count it
Sludgiest darkest heaviest Nirvana
Underrated because of what came afterwards ofc, but I've always appreciated the rawness of it

But Bleach is the only one where it seems like "tried" to look like a sexy/macho guy with the s***refs.
I know he is probably using humor to show what he hates about the macho man, but the lyrics still seems allot different then what he wrote later
"Daddys little girl aint a girl no more"
Yes I f***ing love Bleach. I listen to all of Nirvanas discography on occasion tbh. It helps get me through life. RIP Kurt
Never really cared for it because of their other classics, now its my favorite Nirvana record
