So I guess my neighbors called in some noise complaints. The sheet says there have been "several" during "quiet hours" which are from 10PM-8AM

I make music but I don't do it that late. I also think the only who is close enough to hear anything is my upstairs neighbor who has a loud ass dog. Me and my girl never snitched about their dog because we didn't want to be a******s.

Anyway, looks like if I get another complaint they're going to evict me? I've only lived here for a month. Do I have any protections here? I can't afford a lawyer and I'd be f***ed if I had to move.

They can’t hold this against you for many reasons, namely the fact you can’t be sure where noise is coming from in an apartment.

Proper procedure would be for an apartment rep to come to the complainers home, and listen when they claim the noise is being made.

For whatever reason they’re choosing to side with the complain on blind faith.

I’d get super petty if I were you.

no shot that two complaints get u evicted, especially with no real evidence

any tenant could cause the eviction any other tenant in no time if that was the case

i called my landlord to specifically ask what they complained about and when. she wouldn't give me times but said it was music

Find out what the specific protocol for noise complaints is. If you have to, bring up my point about not being able to pinpoint specific sounds and it being very subjective. Every place I’ve seen had it to where you needed a second opinion before you registered a complaint.
