this song hard af but ngl beat isn’t that weird it’s just really bare/minimal

I listened to minimalist beats by Southside, Wheezy and even the basic ones like jetsonmadeit, but this s*** is really weird even by minimalist standards. The droning instrumental, subby 808s, icy synths kinda like something produced by WOD. And minimalism is inherently experimental to start off with
sound like some early 80s techno rap s***
tbh there are a lot of bangers on this album
we finally ready to have this conversation?

is also has arguably the best pump verse ever
Sometimes in these drum kits there’s drums that have a space between the beginning of the wav and the actual drum.....
Like I hear it allot with keef’s beats, and other artists, mainly in the 808
Either the attack is low or it’s just that weird drum kit file (wav). Idk how to explain this well 😂 anybody else know what I mean?
It could be that. Or it could just be intentional. Sometimes I make my drums slightly off beat to give it a certain feel but it is very difficult and may not come out how you like, because you have to find the perfect placements for things when you start going off beat. It’s very easy to do it sloppily

i feel this to the core
i know EXACTLY what you mean
like you zoom in to an 808 waveform and the beginning is little and then BOOM the waveform gets fat as f***
but yea you gotta place it to the tee cause if not it can sound waaay out of place very fast

I was going through the Beatzpluggz catalog earlier today (Polo boy, Mexikodro, Stoopidxool) and they all have these really subby 808s and minimalist drums so it's def intentional to me. I would check their s*** and see what Im talking about
