Its wrong to take advantage of the movement to loot for luxuries if you aren’t actually interested in the movement itself. I don’t support those actions but things like this are unavoidable with large scale protests. People turn their nose up at it like the wealth they benefit from isn’t built off the back of the suffering of millions of people throughout history. I’m willing to bet every successful movement that contributed to current society included people committing horrendous acts far worse than stealing a PlayStation.

You can recognise that it’s wrong and still support the movement.

im conflicted because if nobody does anything then everyone will just become complacent and the powers that b will feel no pressure when something like this occurs.
but at the same time i feel like with the amount of police interactions that occur everyday it is inevitable that something like this is going to happen again (whether it be racially motivated or a cop making a dumb decision) and i feel like you can't burn down a whole neighborhood/strip mall/block every time this happens because by doing that you're potentially putting more lives at danger and on top of that you are damaging a bunch of small businesses and residential areas that didn't have anything to do with the initial incident.
