great movie

Solid 8/10. Prob the best romcom I’ve ever seen

b, a lot of movies are the same premise over and over, same with a lot of music's lyrical content. its all about how you present it and end up executing it

this. And when it comes to mainstream American films its a 99% chance that the movie will end w a happy ending w everything wrapped up perfectly w a bow n s*** so you already know how s***s gonna end but it’s the journey that gets you to the end that matters

Also, the only time loop movie that should have ever been made (but was never made) is a movie out of the book Replay by Ken Grimwood. Still need that

This was really good

I couldn't really buy the romance aspect cuz Samberg's character seems extremely spineless to find out his gf is cheating on him but seems completely fine with the fact his newest romantic pursuit (Miloti) literally cheated on her sister with her soon to be husband. That seems like a gigantic red flag

That in general just made me dislike the movie more too because the film only seemed to want to be critical about the husband but Miloti mostly got off the hook and maintained her toxic behavior throughout the film and it was just played off as her quirky attitude or whatever

Idk how to spoiler but we don’t see Samberg’s initial reaction to finding out about his girlfriend. We see him not really caring anymore after years of knowing, but still being an a****** to her over it.

On the second note, yeah I agree there should have been more of a response to that

yeah I mean for sure it makes sense he doesn't care anymore that his girlfriend cheated, but its kinda weird he is cool to just pursue a relationship with another girl that he finds out is also a cheater and it has no effect on him or makes him re think his life and approach in any kind of way.

Dudes been stuck in a time loop forever pretty sure he doesn’t care about anything at that point and has accepted that that would be his life forever and is making the best of the situation on some “at least I can get laid everyday” type beat

At the beginning I buy that he doesn’t give a s***, but when those feelings get real, it’s weird that he doesn’t get serious either and think about how weird it is that he keeps falling in love with cheaters, who also happen to be people that act like he’s the problem and they’re flawless
