this was my first stephen king book just wondering where I should go next

    the shining?

    carrie perhaps?

i checked out both movies after reading and never have i been the disappointed book fan shaking my fist at the movies before

    spoiler alert ahead ppl

neither of them even did the actual ending of the book which was the most chilling part for me

The Dead Zone is pretty underrated but it feels like it ends abruptly

Salem’s Lot is another good one

The Long Walk was cool to me in HS but i reread it last year and it def didn’t hold up

I’ve read Pet Sematary, It, The Shining and The Dark Tower 1

Pet Sematary was my fav but I liked all of them, I am going to read The Stand this winter and would like to read the entire dark tower series but don’t know if I’ll ever be able to commit that time

Should just make this the Stephen King thread since he’s such a popular author

    King is good man

  • Jul 6, 2020

Great book. S*** movie. Which is pretty standard for King.

His book CELL is honestly one of my favorite books ever, liked it a lot more than IT tbh. Film looks ass though so I never gave it a shot

Out of what I’ve read, IT was the most enjoyable for me. He just nails childhood better than any author I can think of.

Read the stand fairly recently and was impressed by it but I didn’t like the characters in that book as much as the ones in it. The other two king books I’ve read (11/22/63 and The shining) were average, don’t really get the hype.

Been meaning to read the dark tower since I heard it’s some of his best s***, but yeah. Really long and I don’t typically read book series.
