Does this virus situation change your perspective on the purpose of a government?

I’m a libertarian but have always said the government’s primary function should be to protect citizens. Be it from war, economic disaster, or a pandemic. Essentially, my ideal government would have passed the stimulus bill without any hidden bullshit.
