Games like GT4, where you start with a few bucks and buy a s***ty ride, then work your way up to more expensive cars. I feel like it's a dying breed, are there any games like this out there (preferably for PS4)?

Need For Speed Underground 1 and 2

NFS Underground 2 is probably your best bet imo. amazing game, definitely a classic

edit: just realized you said for ps4

to my knowledge those games aren’t available for ps4, unless you it’s backwards compatible with ps2 games and you find a disc

Theyre still around. Im a big racing fan.

NFS Heat, its a modern NFS game that came out two years ago & its actually good. The only modern good one since 2012. I play the s*** out of in November to January where i got it on sale.

Forza Horizon 4 is the best tho, but its only for X1 & PC. Its amaizng all the way around and has the biggest roster of cars i think ever in any game. Can create your own racing routes too.

If youre into Rally Racing, Dirt 3 & Dirt 2.0 are good as well. All on ps4 and x1.
The Crew 2 as well for ps4 & x1, which also involves boats & planes. It does a mixure of street racing, cicuit racing & rally racing.

These are your best options imo.

Would go FH4 > NFSH > CREW2 for street & circuit racing to me (FH4 is just street while NFS & Crew have bith circuit & street events/modes, all are open world too). All have career modes too with some kind of story. NFSH being the most indepth.

FH4 is a good mix between arcade n sim, NFS & Crew are just Arcade while Dirt is just sim.

NFS has the most customization for your cars, Crew has the most vareity of vehicles since it includes boats n planes, while Forza has the most cars & brands available.

And the Dirt games are amazing but more niche since theyre strictly rally and a bit more hardcore with their simulation (you edit how hardcore you want your sim experience tho). It is not open world.

Forza Horizon 4 is just one of the best racing games of all time in my eyes, and top 10 for me of the ps4/x1 era. The only game that made my X1 feel worth it too lol (i have all three x1, ps4 & switch consoles btw).

I actually have a PS2 with NFSU and NFSU2 at my parents house, so I'll have to pick it up some day. That's why I was interested more in PS4 games as I can actually buy them and play them at my own house

Great suggestions man! One of my homies was playing NFS Heat for a while and I gotta say it looks dope. Picked up the older PS4 NFS and played it for about 1 hour, that s*** was f***in trash.

I actually downloaded Dirt 2.0 yesterday cause it has been chilling in my library for a while and I've also played Dirt 1. I'll get around to playing it today probably

Unfortunately I'm unable to play FH4 as I have no Xbox or a good PC which f***ing sucks tbh, it's one of the only Xbox exclusives that I'd want for PS4..

I'll also check out The Crew 2, didn't like the first part too much..

Did they ever do anything with Heat? I remember having fun playing it but they barely updated the s***, that plus no real matchmaking which was really ass
