So far its looking like Memphis, Detroit or New York.
I agree for the simple fact that, the 90s-early 2000s NYC run will never be topped idc who niggas throw out there, everybody was different… niggas had crews dropping heat everything was an event, niggas was competitive as f*** and that made the music way better…i don’t want to hear that south unity s*** cause that s*** been gone especially in atl now s*** just boring…i miss the old days when NY was hot that made the south go harder now they just all sound the same rapping bullshit and NY right now is no different these kids didn’t grow up listening to NY rap besides a few so they don’t understand how to develop into a real ny rapper
ATL better
It’s not at all, and i f*** with atl it’s just not better

As a collective maybe.
But individually Thug and Future clear out the majority of NY rappers.
NY rap aint that good. Its just thats all we had when it first started. When the sound spread so did the fans.
Thats why NY fell off because musically very few can compete with other regions.
