I don’t like the in-your-face, purports-to-be-dark rap that neo-SoundCloud artists churn out because it lacks that genuinely gloomy feel and organic ambience.

I hate that scale Metro used to use though. A lot of the beats that employed it sounded like they should be played at a joust; they came across as medieval.

Summertime 06 album has that nice eerie flair but doesn't come across as on some dark s*** at all. Great album for night time imo

Like I can’t spot that s*** but idk major scales just don’t have a dark feel
