Randomly said “Turn it up” and Touch It came on in my head
Then I thought wow what a great album from 2006. So then I remembered that Release Therapy won RAOTY that year.
The Big Bang was one of Busta’s most polished, well rounded albums. A defining moment in his career that was exec produced by Dr. Dre. Busta redefined his image during this era. I still vividly remember watching the commercial for this album where he cuts off his iconic dreads
On Luda’s end, Release Therapy was released at (maybe) a little bit after Luda’s commercial peak. Nonetheless, it is still one of his most slept on albums. Songs like Slap, Tell It Like It Is, Runaway Love & Ultimate Satisfaction would be towards the top on any of his albums
I liked the release therapy a lot as a kid and never was like huge on busta so release therapy
Both follow that typical, mid 2000’s-some tracks for the gangsters, some tracks for the girls and some tracks for the radio formula
Y’all are trippin go back to Release Therapy
Just skimmed through both, RT doesn't hold that well, The Big Bang sounds timeless

“Just skimmed” dude….come on
Classics
Yes! Think they’re both pretty equal but I’m leaning towards Luda

Just to refresh my memory because I remember both albums already lol
Busta and Luda were some of my favs growing up
Y’all are trippin go back to Release Therapy
Nah don’t get me wrong album cuts like this are classic Luda. But the Big Bang is better to me

Same here, that was the one that I bought on CD at the time
This album is full of classics I don't know how this is even compareable
I know it’s strange but my brains gone really insane
And I’m off the chain sippin on a fifth of the golden grain
Mfs acting like Big Bang doesn’t have skips and like RT doesn’t have hits
Has like 1 or 2 skips which is way less than RT and the singles on The Big Bang aged way better
