Birds was pretty solid but failed to reach the heights of his debut.
Astroworld was suburban white kid bait, and although it was a commercial success with the single with Aubrey it still felt sanitized and heavily restricted compared to the dynamic approach of his debut.
Rodeo is really shaping up to be his Illmatic as it shadows over his discography.

dont do this plz
it's fax though he's fallen short twice on even coming close to his magnum-opus the space inbetween his projects is glazing.
Not really, it’s a lotta ppl that say DBR is his best s***
I’ve even seen ppl say Birds is his best s*** lmao, he’s good but nice try tho
days before rodeo & astroworld are great albums
Rodeo is his best album but Astro is pretty close to it imo and yall gotta realize casual fans do not put rodeo on a pedestal bro
Travis will never have an Illmatic
i'm using "Illmatic" as an comparison to Nas failing to recreate the magic he found on his first project being replicated on the rest of his body of work.
🧢
Production alone on astroworld had way more vision than dbr and his vocals peaked on it at best rodeo has some of his best songs of his career but as a whole body of work astroworld was his most complete project imo
