Was randomly spinning this today and I forgot how loaded the tracklist was. Monster hits like Black and Yellow, On My Level, Roll Up, No Sleep. Also had crazy album cuts too like Top Floor and Fly Solo. People who were outside back then knew two things for sure you were gonna hear one of these songs playing and you were gonna see a nigga with a yellow patch of hair in his head what are your thoughts on this album eleven (!!) years later?

Wiz catches a lot of flack for not being an “album artist” but this is a classic in my eyes and a few other albums of his were pretty solid I think the hate is a little overblown

If Wiz was out now he’d be the best new rapper

He just came in a highly competitive era

Ikr. album some of tylers best beats early on. and domo coming thru with the chill flow and punchlines ughhh

Idk if he was ever looked at as the “Best” new rapper but he was def catapulted into new super star mainstream wise.

And he did enough before blowing up to where it took his first album for him to really start catching that “he sold out” flack

Kush and oj is the real summertime classic and the summer I discovered weed as a kid so will forever be more memorable to me
