Also, people have locks on certain songs, so no, they don't always leak. That's why there's still several Carti songs that people have, but we've still gone years without hearing because people like Von and Remorse are smart and hold on to it.

Akademiks and people who have known Carti like Rubi Rose have said that he's leaked his own material in the past, like sending out songs to fan pages and putting them in circulation. There's other things that happen though like affiliates of Carti like Ian Connor getting their iPhone sim Card stolen that have unreleased songs like One Day on them
Von and Remorse are basically the people in the buying/selling community that have every song imaginable (re: Carti), and have all the grails that people want.

Some leaks for some the artists i like have been A1. I mever bought a leak *& never will, but most of the modern ones would have never came out if it wasnt for others putting their money up.

No if it gets groupbought where a bunch of randoms pay like $5 each it gets released to the public.
If it gets private bought one person pays the whole price of song and can do whatever they want with it. If a seller sells to a private buyer they generally donāt sell it again and donāt leak it themselves.
And private buyers can do whatever they want, most of them are weirdos that just like having an unreleased leak collection in their vault.
