I get paid on tips and tbis place is always dead, working 10 hout shifts pulling 80 on a GOOD DAY. Worked a 6 hour shift last week and brought home 35, I think my time is worth more than this but I feel like a d*** yo just stop showing up, I've done it wirh all my other jobs but this time it feels appropriate. What would yall do
Also my mom works here but she's veen here mad long and is the most trusted so I doubt this would f*** her up jn any way, she's actually probably getting a new job soon anyway
Don’t leave on bad terms if you do, don’t mess up your moms reputation with the company
Just put in your two weeks
But first you should interview at other jobs and try to have one lined up before you leave your current one
Always find a new job first and then put in two weeks. If not for professionalism than for practicality because money is money.
Get what you can and make sure when you jump ship its onto land and not the water
I wouldn't leave without notice, but yeah it sounds lame. I'd bounce after 2 weeks.
Obviously, the best course of action is to get another job first, but idk if you can tolerate this one anymore.

I know they rarely do but what if they contact former employers

Just don’t put your former employers as a reference

Oof yall real responsible, idk what ima do I hate this s***, i dont even get a real break when I work 10 hour shifts but I do get free food, the only "break" I get is when eating

They almost always call the reference you put, not your employers main line.
So if you know someone you work with that f***s with you and can and wants to vouch for you, put them in instead.
How long are your shifts
8.5 but since corona I go home an hour early sometimes. They pay you less than minimum wage tho?
