Can anyone link me a situation where a vaccine or something had horrible side effects? Not trying to prove anyone wrong, just genuinely curious

medicine has gotten greatly better. unless u would rather hinder a covid-free world

Since 2010 ? You think just 10 years later we’re at a far greater medicinal production that there is no chance of side effects of a vaccine? Lmfao bro.

nah probably not “asap”, but I will take the vaccine. I assume my university will make it mandatory. I remember needing certain vaccines to be able to attend.

Those reasons are precisely why a vaccine should not be mandatory.

How can people reasonably trust the government to supply them with a safe vaccine when there’s precedent of the government negligently rushing to approve a vaccine without fully understanding its side effects, causing thousands of innocent people to develop permanent, debilitating disorders.

If there’s a risk that people can develop harmful side effects from a vaccine, then it should be each person’s individual choice as to whether or not they want to take that risk. It’s highly dangerous and unethical for the government to deprive them of that choice.

I'm not going to argue with you if you're just going to throw emotive language at me, without really referring to the facts on this particular matter.

did you at least scheme through the article you linked? the disease that the vaccine was against is even more likely to cause narcolepsy in the first place, and these vaccines are administered in already high-risk areas.

My guy the facts are that the swine flu vaccine, the production and testing of which were rushed due to a pandemic just like the production and testing of the COVID vaccine will be, causes narcolepsy. Only in a small percentage of recipients, yes, but it does cause it, and the fact that that wasn’t noticed until months after the vaccine hit the market (confirmed until YEARS after) proves that when production/testing are rushed, the chance that problems will be missed increases and the risk to vaccine recipients goes up

Yes, the point is that because the vaccine wasn’t as rigorously tested as it should’ve been that fact wasn’t known until years later, and people who chose to get the vaccine early on did so without knowing they ran the risk of developing a life altering disease

It wasn't necessarily rushed; it had been in trial for 3 years before it was given to the general public. the chances of narcolepsy actually developing were just that minute, and even in places where the risk of narcolepsy developing were high there was an extremely low chance of it developing.

Definitely not until it's been proven to have no side effects.

Niggas would rather risk Corona side effects than vaccine apparently

Like said not necessarily rushed for the most part, and in the context of the time you can see why it was rushed.

Not rushed for the most part, but by the admission of the world health organization still rushed. I’m not really sure what your argument is here

A mandatory vaccine that everyone is required to get isn't going to be "rushed".

People who don’t know how plurals work shouldn’t be allowed to commentate on important social issues tbh.
