Drop a 25% finished project on a “stem” loader on the basis of “it’s revolutionary” and absolutely nothing comes from it.
But hey Kanye paid off some 2 million debt he had or whatever
pretty much
none of his fans on here wanted to hear it at the time though
i hope he keeps selling the tracks for other artists’ albums
that would be the icing on the cake
Still on this? People brought the stem player which had the album on there, despite if it was finished or not. People spent money on the tech.
Plus I doubt he was in debt but alright.
For the millionth time, the stem player was out YEARS before Donda 2 was even a thing.
I still stand by the point that the stem player idea is super hard but I wish it was a software/app that you could apply to any audio coming out of your phone instead it being hardware.
KTT told me I wasn’t allowed to critique it because he was gonna play a new and improved version at LP2
Probably put too many stem players into production and had to figure out a way to get them off the shelves. Kind of a W tbh

But was also mad hyped and promoted around the Donda 2 release for the fact that it would be exclusively "released" on the stem player. So basically, buy stem player -> get Donda 2. And instead of finished album, it was demos.

And he named that s*** after his MOM dude

I don’t even know myself
Album rollout clearly a disaster and whatever interesting quirks there might be to the stem player it's clearly not worth it but how tf is it money laundering lol

If you think the majority of people who bought around that time, bought it for "the tech", you're delusional

speak for you, that s*** bumps. Donda 2 gets played at least once a day.

I've play it a lot too, I just don't think the general public does, and the people who bought it around the time of release bought it with the caveat that the finished album would be released on it.
I don't think Kanye was scamming anyone deliberately tho, he just lazy and moved on. And says a lot of s*** to just say it.
I'm tired of all these House threads tbh
