Yes the most dem are proposing month payments, even Trump is proposing monthly checks I think. I just think the republican who wrote this bill is doing an one time payment.
Still f Nancy tho
It was a one time 1000
so it's not even a ubi? just a one time payment?

It was a 2 time payment, and dems want not only more money per payment, but more payments in total

so really they only blocked this bill as to help working people much more than they would've been otherwise
and people are tying to spin this as "democrats destroying America"
you know me and that I'm not a fan of either party but lmaooooo that's quite the f***ing spin from republicans

Yeah, and that narrative has been working even before today. Posters have been talking about trump and the republicans “outlefting” the democrats for the past few weeks now. The truth is the republicans have mostly pushed for 1 or 2 payments for workers, while democrats have mostly pushed for consistent payments of different sizes for the next couple months, and in some cases a pause on utility bills. The reason the bill failed was because the democrats want less funding for corporate bailouts and more for actual workers. I don’t like the democrats either but the republicans are not the good guys in this

They were gonna give everyone 1000 dollars once? You gotta be kidding me

not even everyone. If you made less than something like 23k or 22k you would actually get less
not even everyone. If you made less than something like 23k or 22k you would actually get less
Democrats want all of those things except medicare for all and temporary rent freeze tho (but they do want a utility bill freeze). And the point of bailing out Wall Street is so that the companies won’t go under and can afford to continue hire people. Im not saying they should get more than the common workers but there is at least some logic behind it

The democrats are in a bad spot because they haven't really voiced anything.
They gotta get out more and argue it's a shame

Democrats definitely do not advocate for reparations
John Conyers' bill has been sitting in limbo for years
