None of the "hits" on his album are gonna last the test of time.
Yeah, unfortunately nothing here really sticks at all. Cool ideas but nothing holds weight. I like Nail Tech tho, probably the best song on the project, and could be a good song to perform. Churchill Downs is alright, but that's really just a Drake song. He needs to find what his sound is as a major label artist now.
He’ll never be on Mac’s Hype. Mac was one of a kind. And he never gonna be like Em lol. Em had Dre and signed 50 Cent
Also Em’s 2nd album was almost 2 mil first week sales
not necessarily true on a music tip
Brandy is a good artist but you acting like she had a run of hits into the 2000s and that's just not true
not everyone has parents that put them onto music. and brandy was never really that big. she's been a bigger celebrity than artist for a long time
Are you black? If not did you grow up around black people?
Are you black? If not did you grow up around black people?
yeah I'm African
grew up in America
my mom loves music / had a big collection but never listened to Brandy. she was into Sade, Bob Marley, Gospel music
I grew up around black people but young ppl didn't rly fw Brandy's music like that in my childhood, it was more rap.
maybe you're just a bit older than me

Non offense but because you're not fba/ados it makes sense why you haven't heard Brandys music like that, it's cool salute to you tho
For all intents and purposes it was good debut.
It wasnt no GKMC or nothing. But it aint far off from Cole and Drake's first joints.
You right he just needs to keep the pace he's going and try and naturally improve over time.
this wasn't his debut tho its his 2nd album, the debut had What's Popping, imo it was better than this
this
he has bout one more project worth of good grace from the majority, better make it count & purposeful
crossroads looking scary
if he's smart he drops a collab album with Uzi and really doubles down on trying to get a club smash

“Brandy was never really that big”
that’s not true bro. she had a whole tv show in addition to movies and multi-platinum records and she did collaborations with goats like Whitney and Michael
her popularity definitely faded in the 2000s but there’s no need to downplay the success she had, she wasn’t a one-hit wonder
