When the idea of an unreleased Drake came out, some drake detractors said it didnt come out because it didnt really exist or that Drake just didnt have any actual barbs to throw at Ye.

In light of recent events, I think we can reasonably draw the conclusion that Drake had a lot of ammunition for this diss. Potentially the Nazi stuff, potentially the CP3 allegation (this would depend on when Kanye allegedly caught them together) or something akin to an affair with someone other than Paul.

Who or why would he not release it?

If you believe J. Prince said no, why? The Larry Hoover concert wouldnt happen for like 3 years.

If were to believe Drake decided against it, and that’s probably the most plausible explanation, maybe he felt it was too morally unbecoming but idk Drake also doesnt seem like someone who would care despite what hes said publicly in that fake barbershop where no one gets their haircut

What do you believe was the reason we never got this alleged scathing response

  • keeping j prince happy and not directly contributing to kanyes death

  • I think because its literally career ending and maybe he felt it wasn't his place to reveal it

I still think that the Nazi stuff wouldn’t even hit as hard just because it’s Ye we’re talking about. Maybe i’m bugging

    J. Prince did not want Drake to go to the extreme because it would ruin his own brand and forever create a distaste for him in the eyes of many people who love Drake and aren't fans of rap. Drake's career is worth more than a Pyrrhic victory where he has to stoop to the level of where Push went on Adidon and even worse.

There's money to be made from him, and Kanye had much more public goodwill at the time than he does now - Drake may have looked at the circumstances and decided it wouldn't have gone in his favor, and that keeping things in a weird "will they/won't they make up" thing would be more lucrative

In that setup shop episode, Bron and Drake have that corny conversation about how he asked Lebron if he should release or some s***…LeBron is best friends with Chris Paul…

I do think some combination of this + J. Prince believing there was money to be made is the most likely answer.

But for arguments sake, I dont think it would have ruined really anything for Drake in the eyes of others depending on what he was going to say. Alleging Kanye is a nazi and that Kim K is unfaithful are two layup wins in the eyes of the public at large imo. Im just not sure how far Drake would have to go for people to really look around and be like “man thats not cool”

Because it would be lame for Drake to focus on Kanye in a response to a diss from Pusha. He didn’t have no smoke for Push so he scrapped it

Drake told us: "I'm not the boss! J Prince is"

I think someone like drake inserting something so intensely political and personal is kinda detractive to the long term position of his career

It’s less that people would think it’s “not cool” but more about him being the one responsible for his idol being brought down (even deservedly so.)

He definitely came out as the bigger man after all of this regardless, feeding into a crazy man’s beef would not have done much

Drake is far from ending anyone career.
I don’t like how everyone lap it up like he was some kind of god MC on wax when all he does is having quote-able line

There is no Drake diss op, it was just a fantasy invented by his stans to live with how badly he was crushed by Push

Do people not realize how corny it is to get smoked by one rapper, then decide to "end the career" of the guy to his left in response?

I feel like everyone is glossing over the main issue here, which is that he was supposed to dish PUSHA not Kanye

not everyone wants to be the boss. it's hard enough making music at that level without all that weighing on your shoulders as well. some people want to control everything and so they start a business knowing that there's no guarantee of making money. other people are content with a job in their preferred field and a consistent paycheck while you can still get it.

Kanye is one , if not the biggest, figures in hip-hop

    Drake didn’t wanna hurt him

Whether you want to admit it or not…. Despite all this bullshit and bigoted and awful things Kanye has said…. Drake still sees Kanye as the GOAT and worships the man

We all still see Kanye as the GOAT, no matter how much he’s hurt his legacy

And I’m sure Drake didn’t want to do something so damaging to someone he idolizes

And judging from the last couple years, Drake did the right thing

Drake kept his cool and took his L and ended up on top in the end

what's he gonna say about Push that people would make him win? most people clowning Drake after Adidon don't even listen to his music.

Yeah I definitely haven’t thought enough about the possible lack of Pusha response he had.

Definitely had to do with J Prince having business with both men and there is money to be made.

It didn’t stop because Drake is this “nice guy” and didn’t want to hurt Kanye.

Drake has shown time and time again that he’s a prick
