vail and breckenridge are great in the fall especially if ur from europe you’ll like it. boulder and CO springs have nice trails to hike if you’re into that. denver if you want to check out the city
I stay in Boulder about 45 minutes outside of Denver. Pretty good hiking here. Beckon and foraged are my favorite spots for dinner in Denver. Tons of night life and dispensaries as well.

Driving is starting to suck really bad. A lot of congestion and the drivers are either distracted or driving like major a******s most of the time. Very similar to Chicago. So if you plan on renting, be prepared for that. It’s only that bad near Denver/aurora. Not as bad if you venture out more. We do have decent public transit but a lot of homeless so be safe if you use transit.
Denver is really fun if you don’t have to drive.
September weather is usually perfect with highs around 75-80 and lows around 50. Bring a couple layers for night time just in case but fall is usually our best temps tbh. Not too hot, not too cold.
It is dry here so make you stay hydrated and wear plenty of lotion and sunscreen. Also buy an oxygen can at the grocery/convenience store here if you aren’t used to high altitudes. Otherwise you might get migraines.
Don’t overdo the drinking, alcohol hits you harder here than most places so don’t be that person who overdoes it.
Don’t have high expectations on food. We do have a decent food scene but food doesn’t cook as good here typically as more humid places. We have great Mexican food!
If you are coming for weed, talk to me first so you don’t waste your money.
If going to the mountains, make sure to bring layers, it’s a bit colder up there than in the cities. Probably be in the 60s for the highs up there in Sep and like high 30s/low 40s for the low. Probably will snow overnight in mountains but will melt in the morning. Shouldn’t be snowing in the cities.
Great sand dunes national park
Yep hard as bricks and some great hot springs nearby
