Feel like non Koreans didn’t get the full effect of the unmasking scene cause they don’t know the actor who was behind the mask. Dude one of the biggest actors in Korea esp for ppl who are like my parents age lol. Finding out the actor behind the mask was prolly more shocking/exciting than finding out it was the cops brother.

They didn’t show Ali’s death that episode either tho. We just saw the gun to the head then it cut to woo hearing the gunshot before he went back into his cell.

also in the next ep they show the old mans hands when he’s putting on the mask. Felt that s*** gave away the twist too much but I guess you kinda needed that scene to show that the old man was actually a part of the whole thing.

This gon be an unpopular opinion but sang woo was the only one that played the whole game correctly. Up until the end ofc. Yes he’s a snake, but when your put in a position where your wagering your own life vs another persons life. Your moral compass shouldn’t be activated.

Like I get the point it was going for but definitely could have landed it better by finale being a flashback episode of old mans life and what got him to that point rather than just him in a hospital bed musing about a homeless man not getting help and roasting him.

In fact a prequel about that old mans life and the original squid games may honestly be more interesting to see than the main character going back to kill vips. Because the cycle of violence for money will never really end

Everyone that died wont come back through vengeance. Plus everyone was playing their part in the game. No one forced them to come back for the money. They saw their reality and wanted to come back because they saw death either way

part of my problem with the show is how much they made him seem just evil when in reality even if its darker what he was doing made sense. The same way characters on Survivor have lied and said their grandma was dead to win. People do whatever to survive. So reality television for that much money
