One of the best concepts and franchises of all time, shoutout to Gene Roddenberry
Star Trek
Excerpt from wikipedia states it well:
Star Trek is an American media franchise based on the science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry. The first television series, called Star Trek and now known as "The Original Series", debuted on September 8, 1966, and aired for three seasons on NBC. It followed the voyages of the starship USS Enterprise on its five-year mission, the purpose of which was "to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before". The USS Enterprise was a space exploration vessel built by the United Federation of Planets in the 23rd century. The Star Trek canon includes the Original Series, seven spin-off television series, two animated series, the film franchise, and further adaptations in several media.
Saw there wasn't a thread, I love this s***, makes me think about the possibilities of the future, also glad by the time the second live action series came around they changed it from "no man has gone before" to "no one"
This thread is more specific to the TV series' and not the films. So if you're familiar with the films feel free to make that thread
Planning to organize the OP better to get it looking nice but I thought the thread needed to be made because it got erased when i accidentally clicked to go back a page
Never gotten into Star Trek other than the JJ movies what is a good place to start?

The original series is kinda a fever dream, the colors, the sound, the makeup on the actors,
If you enjoy or can tolerate some of the more dusty shows due to it having a cool sci-fi concept about space and aliens and ethics of interacting with other civilizations then at least watch a good bit of the Original series.
Just so you can see Spock, Captain Kirk, Scotty (beam me up), Doc, and all the great OG cast
I personally think The next generation and deep space nine are incredible too, and I’m trying to make myself enjoy voyager rn lol

Also I am into ST:Picard three episodes and am not feeling it. Is it worth it to finish it?
