JUST ON A RANDOM NOTE, WHAT' S UP WITH THE PIGEON ON THIS ALBUM COVER?

I just love birds. It’s funny how I love birds. The way they see the world is like, not even dealing with the bullshit we dealing with. We deal with money and cars and smog and pollution and d****. You know, walking the streets. It’s like being in the water for fish. The difference between them and fish, being in the sky they can fly and look at the world without dealing with our bullshit. Matter of fact they s*** on us. So the way they look at things, I really admire them. It represents life also. On the 'Stillmatic' album cover I needed some life—a plant, a tree.

YOU WENT FROM A PIGEON ON 'STILLMATIC' TO DOVES ON THE BACK COVER OF 'GOD'S SON.' ANY MEANING TO THAT?
I don’t know yet. It’s probably in my subconscious head.

no. I hate the outfit I hate the photoshopped location I hate the pigeon I hate the sky I hate how the lights on the Empire State building match the outfit I hate how the forces have no laces I hate the bracelets I hate the purposelessness of the sideways hat I hate how the graffiti on the bottom has a different texture than the stillmatic graffiti right above it and above all I hate the frame of this cover cropping the cover this tight and this condensed feel more like visual suffocation than it does an apt accompaniment to an album

I dont mind anything after (and including) God's Son but they really should've just moved on from the 50% opacity Nas face for his first few albums

The pigeon being that stupidly close to him is a metaphor for Nas being the embodiment of bread! $$$
