@BillyShears if it completely covers your balance it will drop slightly and go back up in a two month or so. Student loans (when being paid) don’t effect your credit that much.
If it only covers partially what you owe, your score should increase cause it will help your debt to income ratio.

Is it that much of a burden in Canada? I mean I'll be paying off mine till i die probably but i don't notice the cash payments at all. The interest is low and the minimum payments are low in comparison to my salary.
